Studies show that positive individuals are likely to achieve their thought out goals than those that carry a pessimistic and negative view. “Your thoughts define who you are and what you will be. If you constantly have a negative take on anything you do, then your results will be negative,” mentions Victoria Nupen of Iconic Marketing Solutions. Much of how we do comes from how we see things and chose to act on them. We promote a positive and healthy environment for our team at Iconic Marketing Solutions because it is not only the greatest challenge but it trains the mind to overcome obstacles in a healthy manner. The core and obstacle to positivity is that our mind is wired to look at fears and threats. We don’t pursue things because we fear failure. We don’t continue things because of a hurdle because we’re scared we won’t achieve it anyway.
“This is not the way to go. Life and goals are always faced with challenges but it sets great individuals apart by one thing: positivity,” says Victoria of Iconic Marketing Solutions. Maintaining a positive mindset is not only challenging but it requires extra attention. You have to be realistic, but also not let your mind focus on fears. Iconic Marketing Solutions has come up with 3 ways to attain positivity and a mindset that promotes this:
- Be realistic. Stop the negative thoughts in their tracks and don’t let them come any further into your mind. The more you think upon the negative attributes of a situation the less you become productive to achieve your goals. Enrepreneur.com mentions, “When you find yourself believing the negative and pessimistic things your inner voice says, it’s time to stop and write them down. Literally stop what you’re doing and write down what you’re thinking. Once you’ve taken a moment to slow down the negative momentum of your thoughts, you will be more rational and clear-headed in evaluating their veracity.” This a great way and we’ve tried to see if it works and it actually does.
- Look at the positives. Whenever something negative happens, sure dwell on it for a moment. But stop after that and look at at least one good thing that came to be from that situation. When you identify a positive, you’re challenging your mind by telling it, “look things aren’t as bad, relax.” “By challenging your own mindset and putting more positive thoughts in it you’re more prone to achieve what you set out to do,” says Iconic Marketing Solutions.
- Gratitude. This is a big part of mindset. Studies show that people who practice gratitude have a healthier mindset and are likely to be happier. Developing gratitude helps improve energy levels and moods. When you make this skillset a part of your daily routine it will shift your negative views and a positive attitude towards the future will approach.
